They should improve their cardiovascular endurance which is one of the five elements of physical fitness and an essential condition for physical activity to take place. Cardiovascular endurance refers to the ability of the circulatory and respiratory systems to supply oxygen to body tissues and their efficiency of oxygen consumption during sustained physical activity. "YMCA 3-minutes Step Test" is a simple but objective method to indicate the cardiovascular endurance of a person and grade it according to six levels. With good cardiovascular endurance, you can handle everyday matters at ease and enjoy your favourite sports activities heartily. Furthermore, cardiovascular endurance training is indispensable for weight management; it can be improved or maintained by adjusting the duration, frequency, intensity and type of aerobic physical activity undertaken.
