Goal Setting and Interventions

Specific goal(s) could be set under the company's Health Policy. It facilitates the formulations of corresponding action plans and implementation. Based on data collected from the staff Health Day and analysis results by Department of Health (DH), they should be able to identify the need for creating a healthy environment in their workplace. Wellness committee (WC) could then decide whether to adapt the action plan suggested by DH and commit to it.

The main target of this goal setting and interventions is to create a healthy working environment – this is to make a healthier choice an easier option for staffs in workplace. Here DH propose some common healthy living goals and organisations may select any of the suggested goals which to meet the health needs of their company, then they can select its corresponding detailed intervention ideas. DH focus on environmental modifications, which are believed to lead to a sustainable healthy change of behaviour. Yet, personal behavioural modification is also important and should be considered in action planning too.

Participating companies are welcome to draft their very own healthy living goals to meet their individual health needs. They are free to contact their Health@Work case manager for professional advice and further discussion.
